Our primary focus is to ensure that healthcare professionals are competent, ethical, and trustworthy, allowing them to provide safe and effective care to patients across South Africa.

Our work includes:

• Registration and Licensing: We ensure that only qualified healthcare professionals are registered and licensed to practice in South Africa.
• Professional Standards: We establish and uphold standards of professional ethics and conduct for all health professions.
• Complaints and Investigations: We investigate complaints lodged against healthcare professionals and take action when necessary to protect the public.
• Public Protection: We work to safeguard the public by taking action against bogus or unregistered practitioners who may pose a risk to patients.
